Visa requirements

Intl guy jim

Either the visa requirements have changed, or I have been mixing them up with someplace else.

It now appears that even a 2 month stay requires an advance visa?  I think I want to go for the 1 year/extendable, but most seem to require a "letter of recommendation" from a Thai?

Would it be safe to assume this is a service available for visitors?  I had a Thai distributor 13-15 years back, but the PC on which I had stored past lives contacts crashed, and the entire disk B/U proved unusable.

Normally for the 1 year ret. stay permit you need to apply for a "NON-IMM O" 3 month visa at a Thai Embassy, instead of a tourist visa, so to have time after arrival to prepare all documents and open bank account before apply for the stay permit.

Maybe the letter by some agents can be useful to open the bank account if you cannot succede by yourself.

Never done that

Follow Immigration advice about how to come and live here, year after year.

Is the simple way to do it.

Being the same for the 16 years i come/being here.

Get a NoN O single entry 90 days Visa before coming here.

Inside the last 30 days, Apply for a 1 year Extension, That you can keep extended year after year.

You dont need a insurance for this, So you can get the best Insurance you want, And never worried that Immigration say yes or no to your insurance, Year after year.

You dont need a "letter of recommendation" from a Thai?

Forgot what you see online-

You can always contact the Thai Embassy where you going to apply for the Visa and check.

You can all so enter on a Visa exemptions (30-60 days), Up to what country you from if you get 30 or 60 days, You can convert your status to a 90-day Non-Immigrant O at a immigration in Thailand.

That give you 90 days more.

You must have at least 15–30 days remaining on your current entry stamp when applying for the 90-Day Conversion.

Then inside the last 30 days of that NoN O you can get a 1 year Extension.

Kindly.
