It depend of what you aim at geting.

There are much diferent things,

E g a common MISSUNDERSTANDING is people "know" foreigners cant own land, and some even believe cant own any real estate at all, but
/CONDO is "easy" if developer /handler do things correct
/And foreiggners CAN own max 40 percent of a bussiness which own lamd (if te business fullfil soime demands.)

Have you ever been to the Philippines? I definitely recommend a visit first. When you come as a tourist you will get a visa (upon re-opening) and look around at the options available - preferred locations, rents, climate, things like that. Hard to give any sort of answer at this point because we have no idea what your needs are - family, single, prior travel to the area, budget etc.
