U.S. Philippines Ambassador warns of deportation under Trump

mugtech

@mugtech
Calling anybody a liar is slanderous.
Stating their birthplace is not.

It is my opinion-only that slandering the president in an international forum is a personal moral issue that other US citizens object to. They may prefer not to just sit around and say nothing because silence in this case may signal agreement. - @danfinn

Obama said he was born in the USA, you say he was born in Africa.  You are calling him a liar without using the word. It is not slanderous to call someone a liar if they are a liar.  Ask your lawyer.

They are staying in a foreign country illegally. I don't see any issues. - @Fred

Events since this, notably deporting innocent people, have taken this to a dangerous level for non-white expats in the US of A.

White expats would do well to ensure they have absolutely nothing that can be  seen as anti-Trump, or anti-Trump policy on their devices or they risk the same.

This applies to their friends list, and postings made by  people  on  their friends list.

On the same subject - Students looking at a degree in the US might  want to read this.

They claim everything is on hold until a new social media search is available.

My  suggestion is to remove all social media that contains anything even slightly political, and remove 'friends' you don't actually know in person.

You should also look at posts social media contacts have made. If there is anything that could be seen as anti-Trump, delete your account and make a fresh one, but be very careful who you add.

Please note, this is not a political statement, just one based on news stories that appear to be verifiable. The only intention of this post is expat safety, and stability in their lives.
