It depends on what the job is and type of company. You could check on Glassdoor or the Salary Surveys the large recruitment companies produce

Thank you so much for the reply .
Actually I want to know how much I will able to save if I get 6000RM/month.

Until July 2019 you will pay 28% tax as you have to qualify to be tax resident each tax year (Jan-Dec)*

A lot depends on what type of housing you choose. If you flat share, depending on the area, this could be RM800-1200. If you want your own place it could be from RM1500 upwards depending on location.

Utilities/Internet - RM500 more if you use aircon
Groceries - RM500-1000 depending on how much dairy and milk products
Travel - RM200-300
Daily lunch/coffee - RM15-20 if local food

*Eventually you can get a refund of overpaid tax i.e. difference between non-resident rate of 28% and resident rate.

6000 is poor imho. But pay rates have been going down and does depend. If no medical though don't take it.

Bear in mind the min work permit is 8000 rm pm. 5 to 8k employers gave to provide extra info they are paying so low.

Also many Indians I know in KL work as near slaves. Eg airasia is a well known exploiter of staff in IT. Hours get massively increased with no overtime etc until staff leave and new suckers I mean staff are recruited and the cycle restarts.

Personally I would say if you have a good job now why move to Malaysia on a sub standard salary? Of course if you have no job now 6k rm is good!

Savings? Not much as KL isnt that cheap and really depends on you. Single and willing to slum it maybe 2k to 3k. Maybe some who live no aurcom no drink and cook at home can save 4k. Some could easily spend it all. I spent 12k a month in KL on average!

Hi Mr Mittal,
Everyone has a different experience and prespective. TBH, you'll feel less of a slave working here  than Bangalore. Whether you really make the switch depends on things like:
What's your current CTC ?,
Do you have any prior onsite experience?,
Is this opportunity in a niche/hot skill market?
Would you want to trade little salary for exposure?

Generally speaking, If you do make the switch, do it on a salary where you can maintain the lifestyle as close as in India but your house rental will be a game changer. you can have a room for 500 and another for 1500 (difference of 17k INR right there) for folks working in the same locations but living far and close resp. You can save if u don't go clubbing regularly, cook at home etc.

Hope this helps!

Ash
