Hi,

One of my relatives has been in construction industry as Civil Engineer experienced over 10 years , looking forward job opportunities in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

I have searched jobs opening for expats in Jobstreet.com.my, indeed.com.my, monster.com.my etc most of them prefer Malay, and Mandarin

Could anyone share your valuable inputs on "Civil Engineering " jobs for expats in Malaysia?

If I were your friend, I'd be willing to be flexible and accept any job even loosely connected to Civil Engineering or change field if necessary.

The construction sector is most definitely the domain of local Malaysians in terms of senior positions. I have only met world-class advisors here as expats, such as to do with tunnelling and the MRT construction. It starts right at the top, with the conditions laid down to register as an architect in Malaysia. The only ways in are likely to be secondment or contractual services from an international company.
