I got interviewed for a teaching position but it was given to someone already on a KITAS and already in Indonesia. That's the way it is right now.

Finding a job in Indonesia during the pandemic is almost zero. I see many friends retuning back to own country, could be due to job cuts. Management bodies slowly trying to replace expats to locals and the process shall keep continuing. But, those having extraordinary skill or high demand in their field,  may get good opportunity. Keep hope, stay safe, stay healthy, stay at home, stay blessed.

Its the law, I already posted the list of the Jobs allowed to foreigners in I ndonesia, u can find it on the forum Indonesia.

Contact the indonesian embassy as you do not believe the members on here .

I was going to suggest you contact an organization such as SOS International. My friend was mostly correct..... You cannot work as practicing physician, however, my understanding is you can be employed as a consultant- supervisor to Indonesian physicians. My understanding is that you would require supervisory experience and board certification, beyond that, I cannot help. Good luck.

Hi Freedom, Sorry but that kind of job Is not available for foreigner in Indonesia.

A expat Barber never seen one in my 32 years here in Indonesia and dont be expecting to see any in the near future some people come on this forum expecting just to come to Indonesia and walk in to a job.

Ya Martin, I already know that changes but the law has not yet been applied and will not be until the end of the pandemic.
Also, the amount to be paid as a deposit to obtain the stay home visa is not specified, it will be interesting to know.

As far as i understand you need to complete an adaptation year as well as learn indoneisan. This adaptation year  can either be 1 or 2 years and it is unpaid and you must pay the university hospital that is letting you work. and then you go onto specialization which again as i understand is unpaid and you must also pay for your years of specialization and then you become a consultant where you are finally paid.

Hello Dr David, correct me if i'm wrong, but it is my understanding that medical graduates having completed medical school abroad can take something called an adaptation year which can range from one to two years in which they pay a certain amount to the university hospital that they are enrolled in and actually work as a physician but without getting paid. once these one or two years are up they must take an exam in medicine and in the bahasa Indonesian language and pass both. upon completion of these two exams they are given a license to practice in Indonesia as a physician.  They can then go into GP training or specialist training depending on their preference. If they so choose to enter specialist training the specialty which they enter depends on their preference and their score in these module medical tests that they took during their adaptation years.  If this is not true or not in fact the pathway from international medical graduates to become registered working physicians here in Indonesia, please let me know.

The procedure Is correct, but after completed, the foreign cannot pactise, only speak at seminars, and work in hospitals strictly to transfer and share knowledge.
They can also open their own private clinic, but they cannot treat the patients, theymust hire Indonesian doctors

Worked and Lived in Indonesia for a couple of JV International remote site catering companies for 32 years and was paid off due to the  company  reducing from 49 contracts to 26 with Covid and i became a high price employee they could not afford so I was paid off in Jan
  I managed to get a job with a local Company in May
The salary local was 60% less that i was getting before with an international  Company
The main thing is to survive during these tough times during Covid
