For those of you who are new to this country, welcome to Indonesia. For those of you have been here for awhile and begin to get frustrated, rejoice; you becoming a local... none of you are alone in this beautiful but strange and at times illogical archipelago.
However I'm glad you decided to come and stay, hopefully you can enjoy more than just the food while you are living here.
I'm an Indonesian who just arrived back from Milan. Yet my Italian is still very basic

I am Shai. I am married to my Indonesian wife, 8 years ago. Since 2011, I flew to Jakarta from KL every month without fail. The past few months after much thoughts, circumstances regarding death in the family, I have decided to move to Indonesia to be with my wife and kids. I left my good career in Kuala Lumpur.
I have been living in Serang, Banten for the last 1 month, beginning April sorting out my KITAS, at the same time looking for work.
I am an Architect / Design Manager / Project Manager with 18 years experience. If any of you have any leads for any suitable career opportunities, i would appreciate it very much.
Cheers.
Serang is handy for immigration and so on, but the shopping there is a little more limited.
Hope you enjoy your stay and find work shortly.
I'm Esti from Jakarta and I'm new here. Nice to meet people from another country. Welcome to Jakarta to the new comers and get used to with the atmosphere.
I have good product, a solid team and market target that ready to be managed, but less financial to setup new company. If anyone here want to invest in this opportunity and start to open new company we can work together.
Thank you

We went home via Pucak pass last time in the hope of avoiding the messy toll roads around chicken peck that are such a cluck of a mess.

I live in Jakarta, so if you have any question related to the city/region, just feel free to ask!
after a recent trip to Bali we're considering sending our kids to the green school and moving over there for a few years
just initially looking into viability with costings for accommodation, car (insurance, tax, fuel etc) and work opportunities
any advice on the average cost of actual living (as opposed to a couple of weeks holidaying) over there would be greatly appreciated
I work in IT, specifically around software testing, test/project management, are there any good resources to look at to get an idea of whats available, i've not found anything decent at the moment, remote working would be ideal but not found much on that front either

Hi, and welcome to the forum.
Random ads aren't going to do a lot to help you as nobody seriously looking for an employee with bother looking at it.
What you really need to do is concentrate on one thing, perhaps your attempt at a tour guide business. The idea has potential but you aren't pushing for customers properly. There are a million guides on the Island of Bali, but far fewer in Jogja and many other tourist destinations.
If you're aiming at western tourists, don't mention cheap food, rather talk about amazing food experiences with local dishes.
What you really must do is research the areas you intend to aim for, get to know as much as possible about everything, and make sure you can organise every little detail.
As for jobs in Jakarta, this isn't the best time of year as the influx of new people is going to make job hunting hard work.
You also have to work out how to advertise for customers.
be if anyone could give suggestions where to find internship/job in jakarta that employs expats (international company)so i can pull up with their works.thanks
I am Kon, or you may choose to call me Kevin. I am currently in Bangkok, but soon I am moving to Surabaya. Nice to meet you guys.
Thanks to the decision makers of Quiksilver Indonesia / Australia, I became a globally sponsored surfer, most recently with #QuiksilverIndia. 🏄🏽♀️
The most important thing to me is my relationship with our Higher Power.🎁
I intend to remain in Bali as an Ex-Pat (whatever it takes - so long as it is legal, moral, and ethical).
I need a place to live in Padang Padang.
I have a lot of (non-sexual) ways to optimize your life ... and as a "Jill of All Trades," I welcome the opportunity maximize your profits, especially in the hospitality industry. Impressive resume and references available upon request. Matur suksuma 🙏
