Looking for jobs in educational field

Chachamoi

Hi there,

My husband and I are both English teachers (he’s Canadian, I’m French) and we’re planning on moving to the island next year. We would like to know if there are teaching opportunities on the island, more specifically on the East cost. Thanks a lot for your replies.

Hi Chachamoi, welcome on board  :)

Most schools are found in the centre, north and west of the island. The east coast does have public/government regional shools but gov schools employ locals and don't offer many opprtunities to expats.

For job opportunities in the teaching field, you will have to contact private international schools (french/english system or alternatives).

Regards and all the  best,
Anou

Hi Anou,

Thanks a lot for taking the time to reply.
I actually meant the West coast. 😁
I’ll take your advice and start contacting international schools.
Cheers,
Charlene

Try West Coast (secondary) : recruitment@westcoast-schools.com

or Primary : recruitment.wips@westcoast-schools.com

Though not found in the west, Ecole du Centre/College Pierre Poivre have open positions you might want to have a look at. They are looking for an english teacher etc : https://ecoleducentre.org/offres-emplois/

All the very best,
A

NO. The private schools are full and they will use you as a substitute teacher. Market is extremely tight in teaching. Do your research properly before facing problems for future. It is a small island with not a lot of opportunities.
