Europe travel plans after Covaxin or Sinopharm jabs

We're planning to publish an article about expats having to revise their Europe travel plans after learning that Covaxin and Sinopharm vaccines are not internationally recognised.

Hi Maybe good to know and take into your account for your research is that (i'm dutch living in the netherlands for now) but if i travel to italy i also need a negative PCR or antigen Test not older than 48 hours... At this moment i'm fully vaccinated with a european approved vaccine.

I think there is a misconception that people that are vaccinated can;t get covid again. This is not the case.... even with a vaccination you can carry the virus even become ill from it but the illness should be less harmful.

Europe is talking about free travel with kind of a green card/vaccination passport within europe for europeans but it is not here yet... date mentioned is 1ste of july but countries are not ready till then even for vaccinated europeans in europe you need a negative pcr test if you want to fly to other countries within europe.... vaccinated or not.

We live in Botswana and all of Southern Africa is the same. Even those vaccinated must arrive with negative PCR test that is no older than 72 hours. I work in the travel industry and more and more USA clients are now here on safari. All going smoothly, just a nuisance having to have PCR tests before they depart again or between countries if they have two or three on their itineraries. We are also being given the Covaxin ( or were before India stopped exports), now currently getting Sinovac and talk of J n J on its way. So pot luck what you end up with in your arm!
