Cost of a general practitioner and specialist appointment

Hi all

Please can I get an idea of what a General Practitioner/ Family doctor will charge per appointment and the same question for a specialist such as an orthopedic surgeon?

Hi,

A GP operating as a private practice usually charges between MUR 500 - 800.
A GP working in a private clinic will charge anything from MUR 700 - 1,000.

Cost for a specialist in a private clinic usually averages +/- MUR 1,500.

Above figures are for appointment only and do not include procedures and medications.
