I am looking at getting a puppy for my kids and am looking for labradors on the island. Can anyone help me find labrador puppies?

You should post an advert under Mauritius classifieds, category- Community-Pets,Animals.The classifieds section is specially designed for such adverts.

WHatever you do - do not take a puppy from a breeder in La Preneuse as I have just put my puppy down because she had hip displacia and bone deformation in her front legs - very upsetting. COntact the labrador club www.fcc.org.mu. I think they are on that website , a lady named Tracy is the secratary and she will be able to tell you about which females are having puppies soon and who is a responsible breeder! All the best, I hope you find a great puppy.

Thanks FeeAcer but she was living in pain and she was on meds and only 7 months old so her future was not bright. We did the kindest but hardest thing I have ever had to do. Not pleasant.

It's better to pickup a local puppy. They are genetically better adapted for Mauritius.

Hi, one of my collegues mentioned her female labrador just gave birth to a litter of puppies last Friday... If you're still looking I'll ask her whether she wants to sell them...
