I am sorry to see you have no water or electricity! That is strange.

Did you purchase a property or are you renting? If you purchased a property, take this up with the vendor/developer. In any case you should not have moved into your property if there was no water or electricity.

I am sure you did find out as much information regarding healthcare in Mauritius before you moved there. Do you mean that the doctors in Mauritius do not have any experience?

I am sorry to read that this has been your experience so far.

I have to admit, I am a little surprised to hear that you still don't have water and electricity after two and a half years. Are you referring to not being connected to the utilities at all, or do you mean the frequent water and power cuts?

If you could clarify a bit, it would help members better understand your situation and perhaps share advice or similar experiences.

Hello there,

When I begin to build my house 4yr+ ago, it took really long time (more than a year) to get water and power connection. Water suspension and power cut is often but still be able to find solutions. If you own the place, then I suggest you to get a bigger water tank or one more tank as spare. As for power cut, solar panels could be your best friend. I'm afraid living on this island needs a lot of investment than you planned. However, if you rent the place, then you may need to consider to move.
