Re-entering Mauritius during a visa application

Ilya Gurov

Hi, all! How is it going?

I'm in Mauritius, have a principal approval for a self-employed visa. Because I spent four months and seven banks to just open a bank account, and load my money on it, I wasted all the time. My principal approval for a self-employed visa is going to expire in two weeks, and my premium visa already expired. Passport and Immigration Office told me that I must re-enter Mauritius to get a new tourist visa, in order to finish my self-employed visa application (can't believe this bullshit).

The main problem above all of it, is that I'm from Russia, I'm rejected in 99% of places and institutions (that's why I spent months, fighting with banks), so I'm pretty afraid of making a re-enter. Did anyone been in a situation like this, maybe there are kinda secrets of fast and easy re-enters?

Hello Ilya,

Just do an easy and fast go and return flight to La Réunion Island.

It should be all right.

For having a bank account here you should first have:

- a resident permit

- a permanent address

You can have a resident permit for business reason if you invest a minimum amount of money into the social capital of your company.

Please keep in touch and let me know.

Take care.

Phil
