Newbie on the Egypt forum? Don't know how to start?

We are planning to move to Egypt the latest in 2028.


We bought some land in an Oasis but would like to have an appartment close to the Red Sea (El Gouna, Hurghada or Masa) in a quite area.


Looking forward to this new project.

I’m just starting my journey of considering Aswan for maybe six months of the year. Not sure yet. I’m a single retired lady, so I’m open to suggestions to a new life in Egypt.

Hi, my name is Lizzie, from the UK and I have fallen in love with Egypt, I have visited many places over the years but more recently spent time in Hurghada and Sharm el Sheikh.  I'm a digital nomad, so would like to consider spending more than a week or two in Sharm, but I understand that the longest I can stay on a tourist visa is 30 days.


I would really appreciate some advice for anyone who is living and working in Sharm as a digital nomad (working remotely for a UK or non-Egyptian company).  I'm keen to visit Sharm for a week again in October or November to look at what is on offer for me: best apartments for longer stays, basic Arabic courses, tapping into an expat community in Sharm, meeting up with any like-minded people etc.
