Temporary residence permit has ended for all Pakistani citizens.

As of August this month of 2022. The Turkish government has announced that they are cutting off all temporary residence permits to Pakistani citizens in Turkey and they can no longer get Temporary residence permits also known as Ikamet, and they can no longer renew their Temporary Residence Permits. If they try to apply for their Temporary Residence Permit, or renew their Temporary Residence Permit it is getting rejected by the Turkish government.

This is due to the rising nationalist sentiment in Turkey, and anger by the Turks against the Pakistanis in Turkey, and multiple calls to kick all Pakistanis out of Turkey.

If the rules are changed in the future again, or the rules are clarified about Pakistani citizens in Turkey, and if they can get Temporary Residence permits again then I will post it up in here.

Below I will post a news article in English about the Turkish governments recent decision at the end of April to cut off all Temporary Residence Permits for Pakistani citizens in Turkey.

Every single Pakistani I know 20+ in Turkey have been rejected for their TRP. With no expectation. This also includes most Africans, Indians, etc. This is not an offical rule. This is a shadow rule that the Turkish government implements. Not only this but Pakistanis have recently had their tourism visas restricted from 90 days down to 30 days.

So maybe your friend fell into a category of owning a home over 60k USD, or is taking part in the economic citizenship program. But every other pakistani is getting rejected without meeting special programs. Even all the Pakistani who where making good money providing "TRP advisement services" have pulled out of Turkey, and left.

@Randomguy2000 first time applicants of touristic residence permit are rejected regardless of nationality or race that's rule number 1.
Secondly if you were on different residence permit and you apply for tourism, it is also straight rejection.
Third if you have let's say a touristic residence permit from different province and you apply tourism again in a different province it is also a straight rejection for example you had touristic permit from izmir and you apply touristic permit again from Istanbul it is also straight rejection because when you change the province you need to make ILK BAŞVURU ( first time application ) which results to straight rejection.

However I know more than 10 people who have got their touristic residence permits Extended and approved in June and July with two of them getting 2 years touristic residence permit, and they are all from Africa, Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia.

Certain nationalities are still getting the first time tourist TRP.  This was an American and British nationality. But the majority are getting rejected.

The rest you are right on, and getting rejected for. And yes, the extensions for some are still going through. Others they are not.

The system is hit, and miss now with some people getting it, and others not getting it.

Iranians have been hard hit for getting rejected for TRP renewals.

Yes. Many new applications are getting rejected now for no reason for all of the world. The problem is the turkish government doesn't put any of this in policy, and its all an internal policy that we only find out through people working in the office, or by rumors. They also have been rejecting many people for renewals for no reason.

It does not matter, you are pakistani or anyone else. If you buy a property worth 75k$ and you have dovis exchage receipt(dollar to lira conversion paper worth 75k$) and expert report showing property 75k$ minimum or more+ numrataj if they asked.  Then your application will be 100% accepted.

Otherwise if you dont follow the above process, and apply through some business docs etc or by bank statement showing some balance. Then everything depends on luck by chance.
May be accepted or may be not.

@Randomguy2000 This information is outdated, inaccurate, and misleading. What occurred in April is not applicable to August. We assist with a large number of PK applications, which are granted along with their renewals; even those who did not register their residence were renewed as long as they were still at the same address in prohibited zones.

@mohamed muhumed This is untrue and deceptive. Every month, tens of thousands of first-time applications are approved. Simply submit the relevant documentation and demonstrate a compelling reason for your stay as well as sufficient funds to maintain yourself and your family. Yes, there are many rejections owing to a lack of a good reason to stay or financial resources, and in some situations, there are rejections for no sobering rationale.
