Hello,

I am a Kenyan working as a housemaid in Arad. In light of recent events and living conditions with my employer..I am really looking to switch jobs. After going through the LMRA site..I saw that I can transfer and change without my current employers consent..but after I finish my 12 months of service which is due on September 2019.

I am not sure how to go about it but if anyone of you has tried something like this please let me know what your experience was like..any tips would be encouraging.

Transfer without consent is straightforward i.e. resign via registered mail, retain pink slip, go to LMRA and ask for the transfer.

However, as far as I know, this only applies for work visas. Not domestic staff.
