Hello all,

I have recently moved to Yaounde, and am interested in buying a new motorbike. I'm an experienced rider with bad roads, bad weather, crazy traffic, etc. I have the following questions:

1. I'm looking for an off road bike, probably something between 250-750cc. Recommendations on where to purchase? Again, I'm only interested in buying new.
2. I have a Canadian motorcycle license and an international driver's license. This will suffice in Cameroon?
3. Are there any motorbike riding groups that go on weekend trips, etc.?

Dear John,

I think it is difficult to find a new off road motor bike in Cameroon, most people import the used bikes.

You can go with your international drivers license but once you obtain cameroon residence it is important to do the national license.

I live in Douala and usually see some groups going for weekend trips and i believe you can find groups in yaounde too.
