Question about citizenship

Hi, American here.

I'm considering moving to Poland in the next few years.  Probably within ~2-3 years for sure.

Reason being....I only make $50k/yr and that's not enough to live in Los Angeles. I'm of Polish ethnicity (3/4) and have read up on the country and it sounds like a great place to live.

I have a few questions for everyone:

1. How do you get Polish citizenship? I own my own (small) business and work remotely from home.

2. How do you get a Polish bank account? I'm with Wells Fargo...don't think they're in Poland.

3. Is $50k/yr a good income in Poland and will that allow me to get married and have children? I cannot get married in Los Angeles and have children because it's just too expensive.

4. For those of you who are American expats and over the age of "40" (I'm 43 and single).....how are you liking Poland? I moved to Boise Idaho for 3 years and found the entire area very boring. So I moved back to California.

5. I have two cats....have any of you brought your cats to Poland? If so how do you do it? Just purchase a plane ticket for the cat and it sits in its crate next to you on the plane? How does it go to the bathroom during the 10? hour flight?

Thanks all!

p.s. I am a copywriter by trade...and will be working hard to learn the Polish language. I'm very good with languages (speak English, Italian and Spanish) and will be able to pick up enough Polish in a short period of time to get by.

Hello there!
So glad, you are thinking about moving to Poland!

First of all, there aren't really any strict regulations about becoming a citizen of Poland, it all comes to the president's decision.

Second, to get Polish account, all you need is some ID, like passport, with that you can go to any bank and ask about your options.

Third, yes this is actually a very good income in Poland, to get this kind of money in PL in most cases you have to be high ranked manager.

4 and 5 - sadly I can't help here :)
