Post new topic

Fink

I am getting my temporary residence in Brazil, will be residing in Bahia and would like to buy an insurance plan that covers IVF.

Is there such a plan and if there is a waiting period, if so, how long is it?

Difficult question. Check around the hospital(s) as to plans they accept.
Many (expat insurance) do not cover pre-existing conditions and some Brazilian insurance plans do not.
Have you sign up for SUS?  What Visa are you living in Brazil?
I am confused as to "temporary residence". Do you plan to leave Brazil? Are you going to move to another city?

The IVF specialists in Bahia are few. The best and most well known is "Bella" and she speaks English.

The best are down in Campinas, SP and particularly Dr Julio Voget. He speaks Portugues, Spanish and English. He was responsible for our now 7 year old perfect daughter! Im unaware of any insurance to cover the cost...but its worth It!
