30% tax ruling

Hello to all expats,

I have a question regarding the 30% tax ruling applicable in The Nederlands.
I am currently living close to Arlon in Belgium and I would like to know whether I will be eligible for the 30% tax ruling given the 150KM condition,

If I take my exact address, my location is less than 150 km from a straight line from the border and more than 150 km if we take driving directions. (I hope this makes sense).

Any chance I can know or find out whether I would be eligible prior to send an application?
Also should I send the application, any idea how long this can take?

Thank you

Anthony

Hi Anthony and welcome to the Forum.

Unfortunately, no, you will not qualify for the 30% tax ruling, the ruling is applied in a straight line from the nearest Dutch border to where you live in Belgium and (apparently) because of this, there is nowhere in Belgium from where you can apply the rule.

Hope this helps.

Hi Cynic,

Thank you for the answer.
That's what I thought unfortunately.

Thank you anyway.
