Hello!
My name is Daniel, im from mexico and my girlfriend is swiss. We want to marry in my next trip to switzerland. However my question is, how long should i wait in order to return?
I went there 3 months, the maximum allowed by the country. from 13th of february -13th of may.
I have read that i should wait 3 months and after these 3 months i can return. this would be on August.
But the guy at the passport revision told me i have to wait 6 months. so now im confused.
What answer is true? 3 months or 6 months?

so this means that i just have to wait 3 months! thats what i understand. from a 6 months period i can only stay 3 months. awesome thank you

Hello Daniel,
You should apply for a long-term visa D at the Swiss consulate in Mexico in order to be able to come to Switzerland and prepare the marriage. The long-term visa allows you to stay up to 6 months. A tourist visa will only allow you to stay a maximum of 90 days within a period of 180 days !
