I am in the process of contacting Cyber Crime (Algarve Police) and PT Algarve, re repeat MALAWARE Computer POP UP entitled ***MOOKIE etc****. Make sure you have professional Security on YOUR Computer when in Portugal..

You should always have up to date AV, keep automatic patching switched on and never click links in emails. Also be wary of connecting to free wireless hotspots, especially if you intend to be using internet banking.

Portugal is no more dangerous than anywhere else for internet/computer security, in fact in a number of respects it's safer.

The police doesn't care about malware on your compute, mate!

wouldnt bother contacting anyone its your computer so its your responcibility (sound harsh but that the way it is) get some protection BUT dont expect it to be 100% effective we all get viruses, malware and scams sometimes. BULLGUARD is poss the best protectioln at the moment..
