Salty Water Effects in Western Algrave?

Dear All,

I need help from members residing in western Algrave so as to have better understanding of the quality of the water in Vila do Bispo. I am currently working on the plan to have a farm near Vila do Bispo, and I am worried about the quality of the water in that area including possible damage to my plants due by salty water. In particular, I need help in getting answers to the following questions agitating my mind.

1. Are the rain waters in western Algrave salty?
2. Is the water from boreholes around there, brackish?
3. Does the wind blow in the ocean salty water as far as Vila do Bispo?
4. Are corroded metals apparent in the area?

A million thanks!

Ooops, I mis-spelled "Algarve" mistakenly typed "Algrave"

Olá!
My father in law has a farm where he plants oranges, locust beans
and other types of fruits. If it helps I can ask him what's his opinion about your questions.

Hello Gabriela,

I found this write up on the internet, quite informative.

It would still be good to hear from someone on ground, so I am hopeful that you'll get your father-in-law's practical view on the subject.

Thanks!

Kind regards,
