Can I travel outside Portugal and get back in with my residence card and US passport? I was married to an E U citizen who recently passed away, and I’m worried about traveling and being able to return to Portugal. Who can verify this with?

Hi,
The first thing I would do is to go to the closest US Consulate or Embassy in Lisbon and seek for advice. If you are a resident in Portugal, I don't see why you could not travel abroad and come back. Here the rules are very different than in the US.
Best!
