Terms of Responsibility Form

Hello,

I am looking for a little bit of advice here if possible.

I am applying for my visa for Portugal I have completed all my documents now and I am just finalising the terms of responsibility ready for my meeting.

Has anyone had any challenge with this form being signed electronically?

The friend I am planning to stay with initially is signing my form for me, I was hoping for them to sign it electronically and send it back to me as they are in Portugal and I am in the UK but I have read somewhere that the signature has to be a written one (pen and paper) and can't be electronic and I need the original form so I would then have to rely on it being posted.

Does anyone know if this is definitely correct at all?

Thank you,

Chloe

Hi Chloe, I had my SEF interview last month and they did want to see a hardcopy signed terms of responsibility document, they love seeing pieces of paper here, also my work contract had to be translated into Portuguese.

The signature must be notarised (by a lawyer or notary in Portugal). And the original document must be presented, not scanned. In other words, your friend must send it to you by post or hand it to you.

Do you need a witness during the notary?
