We have been talking about loneliness when you are abroad, let's now talk about how to make friends (locals or expatriates) when you're living in Florence :top:

Which are your best tips to meet people and to make friends in Florence??

consider anyone your meet and have a conversation with a potential friend! (And don't let a few years age difference turn you away.)  My husband and I became very close with the agent who helped us find an apartment, and with our insurance agent.  My husband was in school, and he and his former professor email several times a week.  Not every person you meet will you click with, just like in your home country, but being open to the possibility is step 1.
