Getting Bahrain Medical License as Doctor

Salam,
Kindly assist me in following queries as too many people are giving many different answers
As I am from Pakistan my Mbbs degree is attested from HEC only.
As per requirement they need attested degree and transcript.some ppl are suggesting to get it attest from national health ministery( NHS)then MOFA then bahrain embassy
Others are saying no need for NHS just MOFA MODS and by embassy needed.
I did my good standing and data flow.still confused for attestation
Kindly assist me

Let us see it in reverse order. The most important attestation for them to accept is by Bahrain Embassy in your country, but as the embassy can't take the responsibility of the content and can't go individually to verify the source, it depends on the ministry of external affairs (MEA -in your case MOFA) of that country. So they must have attestation from Ministry of external affairs. So these are two important attestations one needs on back of their degree certificates.

Now it may depend on Ministry of External Affairs, how do they accept it, because they too can't go to individual verification of source, so there are two ways now. One is to get attestation from whole channel- like first from the college or university which issued the degree, second will be educational authority of the state, and to connect it to MEA there can be some general administration department like thing or it can be something else. Another shortcut is (only if it is valid in your country) to get the certificate attested directly from a Solicitor/Magistrate, which is like doing a legal notary under oath and affidavit. Then MEA may directly accept it for attestation and then the Bahrain embassy has no issues how you got attested from MEA.

Regarding transcripts for specialist and consultant level, they don't need it attested, but I am not sure about GP level, so confirm it whether it requires attestation.

I have been through this pain recently- so this might be the latest information, but as our countries are different, the information provided here might not be totally true and acceptable in your case, so please verify it from proper sources-i.e. HR department of your the hospital you are going to work with or government authorities of Bahrain like NHRA.

I hope this clears your confusion.

Hello. I am a dentist and I've less than 5 years clinical experience and applied for the nhra exam cox I got job offer letter from one of the clinic in Bahrain . I want to know what should I do to appear in BMLE with less than 5 years experience, is there a way?

This should be done by your employer, they will guide you better.

Hello

Thank you very much for this detailed procedure. I am not a doctor. My wife is. She is doing her PG in pediatrics in India now.
My question is on behalf of her. She joined for PG directly after MBBS. Just a few months of experience before PG. Will she need any experience after completing her PG if she wants to work in Bahrain ? Or after completing her PG she can directly start working by clearing the required exams in Bahrain? Pls kindly advice.

For Specialist, the exam is waived off, the only thing is about experience. Which is again a requirement by NHRA here, but when you have confirm job from hospital, that depends on Hospital desperation about getting the person on board.

Anyone has any info regarding expat medical professionals not allowed to apply in general category?
Anyone recently applied?

Hello Javad. Thanks for the information you put out there as regards the Licence exam. Concerning the exeption from the exam, I will like to know if M.D (Doctor of Medicine) holders are also exempted from this exam?

Thanks in anticipation of your prompt response.

Yes, MD doctors are exempted from exams in Bahrain till now.

Hammad dear how are you doing. I just signed in for this website so I can reply your on your post. Thanks for the detail elaborated. I am not sure if you are still checking these comments or left Bahrain.
I am Palestanian Jordanian. Did FCPS orthopedic surgery from Aga Khan University Hospital in Pakistan, as well as MSc clinical Reserach. Moreover i'v done MRCS as well. By end of this year I would have just 3 years of experience after FCPS. Currently I am doing fellowship training in the USA in sub specialties of Orthopedic Oncology & Arthroplasty.
Will I be able to apply as a consultant? Or better to take the guaranteed post as a specialist and then change it later on after completing 4 yrs experience (according to the official license regulations issued on 2017)?
Do they consider less than 4 yrs experience for a consultant with FCPS if he got a subspeciality training from USA and couple of other degrees like MRCS and MSc?
Would love to talk to you more about it. You can find me on LinkedIn (Obada Hasan) or email me at ***
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,

I would like to ask you  how can I apply for  completing house job here in Bahrain ?

I have been told NHRA don't allow anymore permission for overseas to do house job .

I have  a long career delay , I have special need child I cannot go back to my country Pakistan to finish my further six month house job , Howerver, I would like to pursue my career now . I am really stress what would be best for me .

I am more than happy to do house job here I am a mother and I have so much responsibility of my son and I cannot leave him alone for long .

what are the options for me ????

How can I engage myself in medical field ?

I can study further but I think I have to complete my degree first which is incomplete due to not completing house job .

kindly share your views

Thank you

@Ammad Javed

thank you for all the info!

When you say 5 years of experience is after graduation of medical school or after taking the title of specialist?

thanks again

Hi I am FCPS. Do I have to get prometric? nHRA verification first, then apply???

Yes u can do data flow first.. but for further process u would need a job offer

@Ammad Javed hello sir . What is the punishment for working without NHRA license in bahrain ?!

Most likely a criminal offence.

@Ammad Javed

Aoa

I am a FCPS OPTHALMOLOGY and MRCSG Opthalmology female opthalmologist. I want to move to Bahrain to practice here. Your information was very helpful but from where to get job offer?

Regards

@Arsalan Haider.  This information is now outdated.

Please visit nhra website for details.

For job offer you would have to apply in hospitals but for out of Bahrain candidates it is very rare that they will get any job offer just by applying randomly. Contact a recruiter or come on visit visa and visit hospitals in person

What if I have my own visa. Do I have to first get a job before a license. It looks harder to get a job first. Most of labs want someone with a license already (lab technologist)

Yes that's the rule, you need to get the job first.
