I have a trip to Costa Rica next month. I hope to find a place where people will not only sit down, drink and look at the room the whole night.

I would like to know where in the San Jose area, is a location for Salsa or Bachata. Or in Cartago and in the southern part of the country.

Maybe there are some smaller venues were people are more interactive than the urban areas.

Thanks.

hi One of the liveliest  salsa spots is "CASTROS Bar"  in Barrio Mexico...Also  "Mojitos " opp. the parking lot  in the popular "El Pueblo " on the outskirts of San Jose ( El Pueblo  has MANY places to browse and pop in ,

Have FUN

Thank you.

What about San juan del sur, Puntarenas and Cartago?

I like to know all the places. :)

What nights are the most active nights? I am sure Monday to Wednesday are likely slow nights.
