Find a job in Bulgaria

Hi,

You are an expat living in Bulgaria? Please share your experience!

What is the best way to find a job in Bulgaria?

The Internet? Please tell us which are the most useful / effective websites for job seekers in Bulgaria.

Recruitment agencies? Have you got their contact?

Newspapers? Which ones?

organizations?

Thanks in advance for your participation

jobs.bg
rabota.bg
karieri.bg
jobtiger.bg

But unless you speak good Bulgarian you can only really work with other expats. Many expats used to work in the property market but as that is still very slow many are without work and struggling.

wow this is the most negative post of the week !

Hi, dear friends,
I'm sorry to be so extrem !
If you ara maximum 30 years old and you are looking for salesman position with maximum 300 EUR you will find a job.
But if you are ower 35 years old and you are looking for good paid job, I think , you are not chance. In next post , I will give you concret chifres.

Hello, I have just joined this forum as I am looking forward to relocating to bg in the near future. I have just read the post from maurice and would add that the pay for local jobs (in any country)tends to be set at what one needs to live. If one can 'live' on 300 euros - and is lucky enough to find and be offered a job - I believe they should be content. If you need more than that you'd better look at other ways to make up the short fall and that may not be through paid work (no I'm not advocating criminal activities!). As a new member I appologise for being so vocal - but I happened to hit on a day when one of my pet peeves was being discussed. I'll now shut up....

Hi, all...
I am Bulgaian and I still live here. There is not very easy to find good payed job here, even for Bulgarians with high qualifications. The salaries are lowest in all the EU, and, unfortionately, I could not see any indications for change.
If you are a sparking specialist in something, you have some chanse to find good job in a foreign company using your language principally, but not for the similar salary as you could work in any other western country in EU. Do not ask me why is it, it's a fact. If you are expat in Bg, try to organize your own business with people speaking your language, for example - tourist services (as a mediator between Bulgarian tourist places, and groups of tourists from your country), may be with the help of your own website (here you could find very low prices for creating and maintaining your site), presenting Bulgarian beauties (there are a lot, not only the coast and the few sky resorts).
You could trade between your country and Bulgaria, to export or/and import goods, it is very easy if you are EU citizen, you know...
If you are NOT EU citizen, there will be a lot of difficulties for concluding the labour contract here, especially if the job is suitable for the local people. There are "law defences" for the local work force - the employer should try to hire locals or EUs, if there are not any of them - than there is your chance.
The easiest way is to create your own company, it is not expensive, you could find prices appr. 250 - 300 Eu. With your company you could get "permanent residence" status easier, and could take almost ANY kind of job, contracting between your company, and the employer's company, regardless of the "law defence" of the local employees. It works, of course, if you find an employer that will like you much enough.
Get luck and Regards, Serafim;)

... and for these (mentioned by Seraphim)... most good Bulgarians are trying to find a job abroad... But it is the same situation in the countries, where we are eligible to work... There is no enough job for everybody...
Where we are going to..!?

!!  (moi)

Hi lorenzo4! :) Could you please write in English in the anglophone forum.

Thank you for your comprehension,
Christine

lorenzo4, I have to agree that finding good employees is just as hard as finding good employers. However, when an employer finds a good employee, they should try to keep them. Times have changed world wide, and employers have gone to the strategy of "there are many fish in the sea." Thus, they do not do much to retain their excellent employes, until it is too late and they only realize that after the employee leaves and they have to replace him/her. The times of loyalty and care from both sides is long, long gone. But believe me, I am sure that if effort is made from the employer's side to retain an employee, the employee will see it.

I think that you can find job here. But like anywhere in EU you must take what is it on market.
I'm living in Bulgaria and looking for people who want to work, but I can't find anyone.
I hardly find one women to help me with translation.
I pay for everything. And the same is in all countries in EU.

Hi heli 123 > pls lower your caps lock on the forum. I also invite you to post an ad in the jobs in Bulgaria section.

Thank you.

hi all, I am  Bulgarian citizen, and i find it quite hard to find a job for the bulgarians or even if there is anything, the money are rubbish.. so unless it is internet job i dont think so u can find... my advice is focus on looking for internet job for  non-bulgarian  companies like West Europian, US , canadian as they pay good money and the chance is better as you all speak english :)) if not internet job then a foreigner company looking for agent or representative in bulgaria is a better chance as well.
