Hello All,

I am in Muscat.. I realize that the Hospital Expenses here is extremely high.. I have the option to claim the medical expenses by producing the bills to my office... But can't do that for all type of medical expenses...

Please suggest me whether we have any medical insurance policies that can be handled personally?

By law of the land, the employer is supposed to provide all expatriate employees with medical insurance. How come your company is not doing so ? Medical facilities are expensive if you have to bear the expenses by yourself.

First go to the Ministry of Manpower website and be aware of all your rights as an expatriate employee. Then quote the same to your employer.

As i said, I am now giving the bills to my employer to claim the amount...though, I just want to know whether we have any option for medical insurance personally

Yes indeed, you can take a personal Medical Insurance, but at a heavy price.
