Hi,

I just moved to kuwait 3 weeks back and i am getting really bored as doing nothing on weekends night.

As am used to dubai night life and fun i really wanna know if there is any chance for parties in this dry place ?

Also how to get socialised and make new friends here as it looks not easy at all !

Ok! So far everyone stops by maybe cuz of the posts name ! But no helpful comments so far!

Well in Kuwait u can have a morning life but not a night life , unless its a private parties if  u have friends r doing that but still in my opinion it's not so healthy up to the level one ! But may be u will be lucky to meet the right group !
My advice bro , wake  up in the week ends get a byc and go on the gulf road , fish , camp and have the mendatory healthy life in Kuwait :)

BioEng

Thanks Maraf for sharing advice . Well i believe sport is the only getaway here  ! I can get used to that😊
I dont think undercover parties will be good idea too :)

Enjoy ! :)

BioEng, just as Maraf suggested, think of this as an opportunity to enjoy some other things in life that you did not have time to before.
For example i finally have time to read, and I am doing it a lot now (and enjoying it). Sports, relaxing outdoors (while we still can)... take it all. :)

You noticed that this post is 3 years old right bro ? :)

And the opportunity for night life hasn't improved one iota in that time.

The nightlife here is basically same as daylife except the sun has went to shine somewhere else.
I give you that there are a lot of diners and coffeeshops with vibrant music and shishas .... but that’s About ut really .... they looks like clubs and lounges but the reality is something else ... everyone is just sitting at the tables playing « tawla » or cards or at the most clapping ..

Well i feel the same boring about kuwait life. Even if i want to go for night somewhere for chill out from work, here i didnt see any intresting events as compare with other countries. And people also i dont feel friendly nature. Just staying at cofee shop and shopping in mall become an only options for me too spent my night time. But morning time i m enjoying my yoga and some stretching excercise with green tea , nothing especial more than that.

Marina mall on the beach next to the scientific center you can fish on the peer they've got dedicated fishing spots check it out you need a license of sorts though get on the walkway head towards the peer talk to the uniformed security guard they are usually helpful (can't speak a lock of English so go with an Arab or an arabic speaking friend) . As for other activities in kuwait the place is littered with pool halls so if you enjoy an occasional game check those out - some of them kinda got the sports bar vibe with big screen TVs and juke boxes and fruit cocktails instead of real ones and Pepsi in large beer mugs (😆😆😆)... also mainly for men ....bowling alleys (not a huge fan so I'll leave it at that ) ... cinemas are good and usual place for couples to get to know eachother so are coffee shops (although PDE is frowned upon ...So just don't do it -you've been warned ) ... in the summer beach activities. ..... and then there are the touristic places like entertainment city , acqua park , scientific center , museum , failika island (5kd to get there by boat - last time I checked ) . Paintball and I also saw an advert for escape room for 10 KD not sure where though. .. well hope this post helped. .. Kuwait is a country to have good clean sober fun although I have heard that alcohol (moonshine or clear distilled ) is available if you know the right people getting drunk in public will land you in hot water (not literally - they won't boil you but they'll come pretty close ) on the other hand if you know someone, who knows someone, who knows a guy, you can find it and drink at home with the curtains firmly drawn the cops don't care as long as it's inside your home and you don't bother anyone it's kinda like smoking weed in some coutries where they prosecute the sellers/distributors and not the user's same thing here ... Unless they catch you actin the fool . Be safe !!!
