So far I'm finding the impact of the Games on everyday life surprisingly low.
The downtown core is much busier than usual, but I'm not seeing any evidence of the traffic chaos that we were told to expect. Outside of the areas where Olympics-related events take place, it looks like it's business as usual, or even a bit quieter as everyone is busy partying downtown!
