Hello All, I am not noticing any January sales in Budapest, does anyone know if there are any official 'sales' times in Hungary like in the UK? Thanks.

Tesco and Interspar seem to have a lot of reductions at the moment and things like chocolates bought in for Christmas are being sold off cheap.

Are you interested in some Ikea one year old furniture? we have some for sale.

Hi, thanks but I am not after furniture. I was more just wondering if there are any times of the year that is best for a bargain. Especially clothes.

sales are sort of all year round it seems to me, not specifically in January and July (although they do advertise it a lot more then and it is the official periods, the sales don't seem to be too much better; just a bigger crowd to move through).
In my experience it's just finding the right place for you to shop at and then check out their sales section every now and then when you pass it.

If you want bargain clothes it might be good to check out premier outlet center in Törökbálint. http://premieroutlets.hu/

Don't waste your time going to Torokbalint, that one is a joke is not really an outlet.Have old type clothes for sale, really rubbish stuff. It is nothing like UK.

People here go to Vienna to buy their clothes.

With time you will find out that you need to outsource your needs(clothes, food, electronics) outside Hungary.

Hi!

I love bargain hunting :D I have been to Parndorfs outlet in Austria several times, there should be sale there right now, can highly recommend it!! If you like designer clothes to bargain prices :)

I think the winter sale in Hungary is right now, every clothes store and even IKEA have big sales atm.

Or buy stuff from distributors...
But we still buy from German distributors - it's cheaper
