Teaching in Colombia

Hi Everyone

I know this is probably a very old and repeated topic but I had a look through the forums and could not see anything immediately (apologies if I missed something).

I was wondering if anyone had email contacts or knowledge for schools in Manizales/Cali/Medellin (or anywhere) which would be interested in employing a Qualified teacher from England (PGCE and 2 years experience in a secondary school in London)

I will be arriving at the end of July and have emailed approximately 60 schools in Colombia over the past 6 months, with hardly any responses and those that have unfortunately not come to anything.  I was just wondering if anyone had any tips/contacts for some schools who would be interested.  I do not have a TEFL Certificate so am not sure if that would stand in my way of teaching English there (although I would prefer to teach humanities which is my specialist subject if possible).

Anyway, if anyone has any advice/tips/contacts which would help me find some employment then I would be extremely grateful.  I am really excited about the prospect about moving here but just a little apprehensive of employment prospects - I would like to get something reasonably stable which might sort me a visa out and pay me a livable wage.

Many Thanks
Adam

Just English - I would be keen to learn when I am there.  I have a PGCE and 2 years experience.
