Fellow Foodies of Nairobi - after many years of chowhounding in the US and Europe, I'm attempting to bring this concept to Nairobi. By chowhounding, a bunch of us foodies would on a weekly basis pick out some of the most authentic - down to earth - but mouth watering hole in the walls to eat from, or pick restaurants whose chefs were re-known food innovators (Ferran Adrià anyone - yep I'm still trying to get reservations at elBulli). Anyways, the concept is simply chowing on different cuisines from different REGIONS (note: not countries) of the world, whilst not leaving our residing city. Home-cooking was also permitted in case of failure to locate a worthwhile hole. If you would like to join us, I've set up a Nairobi Chowhounders FB page.

And to add, Nairobi is definitely a challenge for multi-regional cuisines, but the city has tonnes of amazing chowhounding places. See you on-board.
