Exchanging UK Licence for Portuguese Licence

Post new topic

vickypell

Hi,

Has anyone experience of the IMT form to exchange the British Licence for the Portuguese one?

Our UK licences are nearing expiry and as we are no longer resident we cannot renew them there so must exchange them.

The IMT form is relatively straight forward but the very last question has left me bewildered as I do not know what they require..

"Confirmation 1st form Submitted"

This box requires a mandatory reply .... any one have an ideas?

I called the IMT waiting 15 mins then it cut off... I have tried answering yes in English and Portuguese and also entered the reference number they gave me previously and still no joy!!   It's urgent as one of our licences expires next week.

Thanks so much! The IMT sent the form as they asked me for additional information and it's like they are needing the reference from previous correspondance but the link isn't recognised.

The form that I'm completing is exactly the one you sent but with this additional (and hugely annoying!!) box.

I might have to resubmit all the data on the link you sent then I might not have a problem..

If I were you, I'd resubmit all the data again.

Here's a form for questions:

I remember having trouble with this myself, but unfortunately not clearly enough to be much help.

Their previous email presented a link to this form, and you're accessing the form to fill it out, via that link, right?  If I remember right, the time it failed for me, the link was just text that I had to paste into my browser;  that wasn't really the problem per se, just accessory evidence that they didn't set it up right.

Try starting over, but may not work.  I was stuck.  I submitted web request/question to IMT, no response.  Gave up and started thinking about taking the course etc., and then later tried it again and it worked.  Maybe just passage of time, maybe my question had some effect, no idea.

Just redo the application form from scratch.

I had to do this when I applied to exchange a UK licence in 2023.

IMT  rejected the first application I submitted online because they said one of the PDFs I uploaded was hard to read. I created a clearer PDF and redid the application from scratch. IMT then accepted the new application.
