Hi everyone,

I am a 57-year-old American who is seriously considering relocating to Portugal. Of course, there are a thousand questions but the one that is most important for me to address first is about the income Visa requirement.

I will be able to receive my monthly Social Security and it is $802. According to what I am able to learn that is $6 less than the minimum income requirement for a short stay Visa.

Should I be concerned about that?

Hi @Yishai,

You should probably worry about that. That amount of money is hardly even enough to rent a house in the main cities...
