Operations Executive - Freight Forwarding & Logistics

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive Operations Executive to join our robust and dynamic freight forwarding and logistics team in Riyadh. The successful candidate will possess strong operational experience across all modes of transportation and demonstrate the ability to manage both local and international freight movements in a fast-paced environment.

This role is ideally suited to an individual who thrives under pressure, takes ownership of responsibilities, and is confident working both independently and as part of a professional team.

Essential Requirements

1. Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience within a freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation company.
2. Candidates must have direct experience working for a freight forwarding service provider.
3. Applications from individuals whose experience is limited to managing logistics or supply chain activities within a single organisation, manufacturer, retailer, or end-user company will not be considered.
4. Hands-on operational experience across:

Ocean Freight

Air Freight

Land Transportation

1. Proven experience handling:

Local shipments

International shipments

Cross-border transportation

Import and export operations

Customs clearance procedures

Shipping and logistics documentation

1. Experience preparing and issuing:

Local quotations

International quotations

Pricing proposals

Freight cost calculations and rate negotiations

1. Strong understanding of freight forwarding processes, carrier coordination, overseas agent management, and customer service.
2. Experience across all transportation sectors is mandatory.

Language Requirements

1. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
2. Arabic language proficiency would be a strong advantage.
3. Key Responsibilities
4. Manage day-to-day freight forwarding operations across all transportation modes.
5. Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, customs brokers, and overseas agents.
6. Ensure the efficient movement of shipments from origin to destination.
7. Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and freight cost calculations.
8. Handle customs clearance requirements and all associated import/export documentation.
9. Monitor shipment progress and proactively resolve operational challenges.
10. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
11. Work confidently and effectively both independently and within a team environment.
12. Take ownership of assigned tasks immediately and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
13. Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and sound judgement in day-to-day operational activities.
14. Support colleagues and contribute positively towards achieving team and company objectives.
15. Deliver a professional and solutions-focused service to customers and stakeholders at all times.

Working Hours

1. Sunday to Thursday
2. 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Due to the nature of the freight forwarding and logistics industry, the successful candidate must be willing to remain flexible when operational requirements arise outside standard working hours or during weekends. Salary

Gross Monthly Salary: SAR 4,000
