Consultant Surgery Job

I am Senior Surgeon, I am Not Young but fit and Energetic, I am working as consultant in general surgery, and I have FRCSEd, in the year 1990, and FRCS ad eundem in 2010

(General medical council UK), Full GMC Registration No. 3640591

(I have experience of working in UK in the years 1989 and 1990)

I am currently working in Alexandria Egypt.

I am a retired major general (med.) I have long experience in Military and civilian service,

Also, I went to work in Saudi Arabia for 5 years,(Al Hammadi, Alsuwaidi Hosp.), I was the head of surgical departments beside deputy of medical director in his absence

I am team player capable of coping and working with others in all conditions and under stress also I have team leader and management abilities, with flat authority, capable of guiding and gathering the team for the aim of patient safety which is the main objective, I am flexible and respect colleagues and the staff

I have leadership experience throughout my career and capable of coping with stress and conflict with others, working in difficult situations according to guidelines for patient's wellbeing and safety, according to clinical governances.

I am interested in teaching, either clinical or by lectures,

I am member of the board of Alexandrea Association of Laparoscopy, teaching and training junior staff and colleagues bases of General and Laparoscopic surgery

I am keen to update myself by attending meetings. (I am subscribed to Medscape), and continuous reviewing guidelines

I am General surgeon, with wide range of experience in Upper gastrointestinal surgery both benign and Malignant, both General and Laparoscopic with special interest in Lap fundoplication and hernia surgery, And biliary surgery, (biliary injuries and Pancreaticoduodenectomy).I am not in the surgical specialist list , though eligible for it .

I have Good experience in Upper GI endoscopy, both Diagnostic and therapeutic, (Banding, injection sclerotherapy, of Varices, and bleeding ulcer management both by injection and clipping.) And PEG tube insertion, (Not JAG Accredited).

Also, I was board member of Motility group and used to do Upper GI motility and Ph studies.

Colorectal open surgery and anal surgery, doing Elective and Emergency Colorectal operations, mainly open, (not very experienced in Laparoscopic colorectal)

Used to invite, eminent colorectal surgeons to my hospital in Alexandria, Mr. Nicholls from Saint Marks Hospital, and Mr. Adam Lewis from Royal Free Hospital, and Mr. Adam Lewis from Royal Free, Mr. Basuiny laparoscopic Colorectal from UK)

Emergency surgery

I am interested in Trauma and Just had coarse, European trauma course and e FAST. In 12th October 2022

I am interested in Trauma, disaster management and Emergency management and supervising ER

Thyroid and submandibular surgery

Breast surgery is both radical and conservative

(I started working in UK in North tees Hospital with Mr. ALG peel who is interested in breast surgery, we used to have breast clinic and used to do FNAC by ourselves before Core biopsy)

(Also, in 1996,I went to Plymouth as locum registrar worked in breast center with interest in Conservative breast Surgery)
