Bank or cooperative account opening

sasha2023

Hi, can anybody tell me which way (bank or cooperativas) has the easierst requirements.

I was only able to open a basic/digital  account where I  can neither send or receive money

from abroad.

Thanks, Sasha

You can have money sent to you via remitly.com to Banco Familiar Paraguay, and collect it using your cedula or passport.

If you just want somewhere to keep a little money and don't want to be receiving money from overseas or to do things digitally I would suggest looking at the co-ops. They offer less services than the banks but are far simpler to deal with

@Johan Smal

Hi, thanks for your reply. Can I also receive money transfers from other countries if I don't have an account with banco familiar? Also can I also use other transfer companies instead of remitly?

Thanks for your advice.

I have no experience with any other company than Remitly. You do not need an account at Banco Familiar to receive cash from Remitly
