Temp visa: criminal record certificate

Hello everyone!

After almost a year and a half of waiting for news about my temporary visa, I finally received a message from extranjería saying that I need to send my Criminal Record Certificate in the original to Santiago. When I asked for more details, they told me it also needs some kind of verification option, like a QR code, to allow for electronic verification.

Has anyone had experience with this? Specifically with a German Criminal Record Certificate? I was also told that this issue happens more often with German documents, but no one could tell me how to resolve it.
