When it doesnt rain!!!!

I'm introducing myself here. I'm Celia, spanish, living in Rio since May.

I'm used to be an expat in many places, as due to my work, I have been living in many countries. I see Rio is different from other places as it's not so easy to find people from abroad living here, so I decided to use this web. Hope it works!!!!

I'm still not very settled in the city, although I spend long time traveling. My portuguese is so so, but I survive with the portunyol.

It would be great to find people in the same situation to explore this city!!!!

I've been here since may, but due to my work i travel a lot through all latinamerica.

I start to know the city a bit, but still i'm missing some places beyond the touristic ones. i love music and films, but i'm not a total friend of samba!!!! (someone can kill me coz of this...but it's the truth!!!)

how do you find things happening in this city? i mean, concerts, films, etc... i find out about things when they have just happened!!!!

de donde eres ??? yo vivo en Buzios, a 2 horitas de Rio, pero muchos fines de semana bajamos para rio, a ver a la familia de la mujer.

bceli - one great resource for everything going on in the City is the Official Rio Guide, produced by Rio's tourism agency. Check it out here (there is an English version) http://www.rioguiaoficial.com.br/

Also, be sure to download the monthly calendar pdf file posted in the left column of the website.

Hi! Rio is a great town, just go out and you will meet a lot of people even with your portunhol! The Veja magazine is a good way to know about moovies, expositions etc.
