Finally got moved to Maca�

I will lime to know how to find te public bus schedule in Macae, Rio de Janeiro

Well, I live way up in Lagomar and the service here is fairly frequent. I don't come into the center of the city much, but it looks like the service there is much better. The only problem is something universal here in Brazil the horrible overcrowding of buses. No city where I've ever lived has a sufficiently large fleet of buses to meet the demand and Macaé is no different. On the other hand I was quite pleasantly surprised that the fare was so low. When I first started coming here the fare was R$2,25 which by standards was already very reasonable. When I moved here in June I found that it had been (in a very un-traditional move for Brazil) reduced to R$2,00 that was a real shocker. I hope other cities take the hint and lower fares too, but I doubt it. Another thing, if you disembark at the any of the bus terminals you can transfer to another bus for free so you can travel from one end of the city to the other for a single fare.

No, not at the moment. Actually I live on the extreme north end of the municipality and therefor don't get into the city much yet. Since I'm completely fluent in Portuguese attend services here with my wife and son. Are you in Macaé right now or just planning on moving here?

I'm sure, given the number of foreginers living in the city, there must be churches here with services in English. I can check around for you if you're not here yet and get back to you with that information. Let me know OK.

Hello again and thanks for your reply, my husband and I are living already in Macae, we moved from Puerto Rico almost two weeks ago, we only have a few friends here but they don't go to church.  We will like to find the English speaking ones since any of us are fluent in Portugues yet.  We love to participante in activities to help needy people in the community and churches are very good on that.  If you hear from one let us know.  Obrigada!
