Charities in Rio that accept used household goods

Hello all ...

Besides the Salvation Army, I was wondering if anyone knows of any local charitable organizations that accept used items.

We are moving, and have decided not to take most of our small household items. Mostly, this includes cookware, utensils, glasses, food storage containers, linens and clothing, plus things like fans, a microwave, small appliances, tools, vacuum, etc. Ideally, everything would be collected by one organization.

We also have a number of items that our dogs aren't using, including a medium transport crate, bed, food/water bowls, toys, hygiene and grooming products, and even some treats and kibble. We'd definitely like for some needy dogs to benefit from this stuff.

Some migrant refugee organization might have good use for these items, if they can store them,

Also, it used to be that when an Americano was moving out, there would be an insert in a paper ad ( Segunda Mao tabloid sold at newstands ) , and people would flock to these parties to snag hard to come by items. They figured Yanks brought a lot of stuff with them, that otherwise could not be gotten here. I sold boatloads of the old National Geographic Magazines way back on that gimmick.
