Hi, @Boondog.ย  I do not, but I live in a major city.ย  We have a few members in remote locations in the interior who may be using the service; I've asked Moderation to move your post to a new thread with a title that's more apt to attract their attention and responses than this one.

Its hit and miss. and with the density of clouds in brazil you will be hard pressed for signal on the norm. Humidity and clouds = worse and poor signals.

Is there any specific reason your anchoring to something like starlink ?

To be honest, Iโ€™d rather use anything that didnโ€™t belong to Elon but in this case Iโ€™m going to be down by the river so I just assumed the satellite signal will be best but Iโ€™m not sure. Any ideas would be much appreciated thank you, Joe.

Hi there! I will do A-N-Y-T-H-I-N-G to NOT use anything by Elon Musk just as I do my best (not always possible) to stay away from funding Bezos. I do my best to support my local community in every way possible.

That said - I have a rural house in the backlands and there is network in places you can't imaging. My provider in the backlands of Paraรญba (send DM if you want the name) had actualled pulled fiber throughout his rural (original) support area. I have some complications on getting on to this fiber network (installing poles on somebody else's property and other bugs) YET I stak with my provider using their RADIO service - a very adequate signal for even streaming films - won't work for gamers.

I'd start by asking your new neighbors.

Figure out what your real needs are. Talk with folks in your new area of residence. Spend your money on Brazilian services!!

I too live by this credo here. Next to no G7/EU type corporations operate here, yes there are a few (Carrefour, Sam's Club, Amazon, McDonald's, GM, etc) but by and large, I refuse to do business with any of these places, preferring to fund the operation of as many mom and pop small businesses or Brasilian firms as I can, every single time I'm on the hunt for a product or service. About the only exception is my TIM cellphone (an Italian company) because they're just too damn good.

Hello everyone,

Please note that I have combined some posts to create this new thread on the Brazil forum, as the discussion was becoming a little off-topic in the original thread. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Cheers,

Cheryl
