Apple Products

I need to buy an iPhone, an iPad and a Mac. I’m thinking a quick run to Miami to an Apple Store is what I should do.

Will I have any issues with Customs in Brazil on reentry?

Thanks for any advice.

I have flown in and out of Rio at least 18 times in the past 20+ years. I have never had a problem with Customs. In fact the last 2 times they didn’t even x-ray   my  bags on arrival  (even though the wife insisted on taking 4 huge ones).  They just waved us right through. I can’t speak about other airports.

l have always been advised to take things out of the original  packaging in case l was questioned, but it never happened.

To be extra safe, we always carry new computers in computer bags as if they'd been with us all along, and new phones and smartwatches on our persons, with no original packaging.  That even got us through the 100% Customs inspection at Foz do Iguaçu Airport without a hitch. Valuable items like those you never want to put in your checked bags anyway.   For the rest, I'm with @Ken Aquarius.

I always make sure that my US Passport is visible to the Customs officers as we pass them.

Yes, I agree with all above.  We have brought many Apple products into Brazil.  But always out of package.  If it's for personal use it should not be an issue.  The only time we got stopped was when we had bikes in bikecases and when we had our dog.  With the bikes they opened up the cases to see that the tires were worn.  And with the dog obviously to check the paperwork.  The agents were always courteous to us.

@alan279 When I bought my IPhone 12 this is where I went and had no trouble.  Make sure you organize the Sim Card for What's App.
