How did you meet people for days off after moving?

I moved from the UK to the US, and finding people to actually do things with on days off was harder than the move itself.


Not big networking events — more weekend plans, short trips, or using a public holiday without spending it alone.


How did you find your group after moving?

And where would you send a newcomer who wants low-pressure ways to meet people on free days?
