Tax for resident with RFC but less than 183 days

I've never heard of them "coming after" a temporary resident for not filing. Have you made a lot of money that the gob is aware of? If not, then you're pretty much under the radar.

I am also looking for a Mexico income tax specialist, we are permanent resident with CURP and RFC.

Retirees, not working, renting ( do not own realestate ), no bank account in Mexico our revenues are from Canadian pension where Canada is witholding 15% tax at source.

As Mexico is taxing residents on their worldwide revenues do we need to file an income tax report?

I know we will be credited tax already paid at source but if our tax bracket in Mex is 25% we will still have to pay 10% (25%-15%=10%).

I am in a similar situation.

Canadian about to get my permanent visa in Mexico but will rent not own, no bank account and ideally wanting to stay about  6 months to 10 months each year for now and  am not breaking ties with Canada yet.  My concern is do I need to file a Mexico tax return. Yes we do have an agreement between the 2 countries and that is fair but I am trying to simplify my life now retired not add more issues with filing taxes in 2 countries and needing a tax accountant in Mexico.

FYI we got our permanent residency and when we went to get our RFC i told them my revenues are from Cdn pension and taxed dividends at source in Canada, no Mx bank account, no work in Mx, no propery only renting, need RFC to buy a car.

No Mx source revenu, do i need to fill income tax in Mx? They told me no.

Unless i find a different official source i will go with that!

I flew in today to PV and let my passport sticker for permanent visa go. Very disappointing but as I said was worried on being taxed on dividends etc.

I had no positive proof that I would not file a tax return and just did not want that extra issue.
