Czech Food in Vancouver

Jshepherd

Hello,

My girlfriend is Czech and she misses the food from her country.  In particular, Czech mustard.

Does anybody know some stores in or around Vancouver that sell Czech food products?

Thank you.

Hi Jshepherd,

Have you tried the Granville Island Public Market? If you can't find anything there I honestly think you're out of luck on finding any Czech food products in Vancouver.

I lived in Vancouver for 28 years and have never seen any such products in supermarkets. Perhaps you might find some imported products if you can find someone within the Czech community in Vancouver who might know of a small specialty shop that imports its own goods.

There used to be a Czech restaurant in North Vancouver, good food but a bit higher price, there was one in South Surrey, but that one is probably closed already. We used to buy Czech products in one Polish Butcher shop in South Surrey. Let me ask our friends if they have any updated info. BTW the reason I know all this is because I am Czech too and lived in Vancouver area for 20 years ;)
