Moving to Vancouver bc

ducksoupcooking

Hi,

my name is Robin and my husband and I are both retired, living in Washington state. Our son and daughter in law live in Vancouver and have applied for their permanent residency and are waiting to hear back. Our hope is to apply for a super visa once they are residents and we are hoping to move up there in a couple of years. Does anyone have any advice on how they moved from the U.S. ( we will retain an immigration attorney) Any advice on healthcare, dual taxation?

thank you,

Robin

I know a few families who went the Super Visa route, and the key things were getting private health insurance in Canada and planning ahead for U.S.-Canada tax treaties. Since your kids are already applying for PR, timing should work in your favor, Check It Out for resources on cross-border healthcare and tax planning to make the move smoother.
